A Seeding Crew Built Around Gulf Coast Clay

Elite Hydroseeding Houston seeds new yards, builder lots, commercial pads, detention pond banks and ditch slopes across Houston and its suburbs. Plenty of jobs need groundwork before any seed is sprayed, and we handle that too: fine grading, topsoil, silt fence and inlet protection, and repairs to lawns that storms or floods have torn up.

The ground here shapes how we do all of it. Most of Houston is flat coastal plain on low-permeability clay-silt prairie soil, and the region gets roughly 52 to 56 inches of rain a year depending on how close you are to the bay. Bare dirt on that kind of ground does not dry out fast and does not stay put in a hard storm. Summers are long and hot, with more than a hundred days a year at or above 90 degrees. So we plan every job around three questions: where will the water go, how will the seed stay put until it roots, and how will it get enough moisture in July.

We work for homeowners who just closed on a new build and have a bare lot, for families fixing a yard after a foundation repair or a flood, for builders and site contractors who need ground stabilized under a TCEQ stormwater plan, and for property managers with eroding pond banks or ditch lines.

How we work

  • We come out, measure, and look at grade, drainage, sun and soil before we price anything
  • Quotes are written and itemized: prep, seed, mulch and erosion control on separate lines
  • We tell you plainly when sod or a different grass would serve you better than hydroseed
  • Bermuda goes on sunny lawns; native prairie grasses are an option for ponds and acreage
  • Slopes, swales and pond banks get heavier mulch or blankets, not the same mix as a flat yard
  • You leave with a watering schedule written for the month we seeded
  • If a storm washes a corner in the first weeks, call us and we will look at it

We do not claim to be the biggest crew in town. We claim to show up, measure carefully and seed for the ground you actually have. Ring (832) 772-4979 and we will come measure.
